Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role based in Columbus, OH, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. ML and BigPanda Engineers will design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and workflows to improve monitoring, incident detection, and automation within complex IT infrastructure environments. Daily responsibilities include integrating ML-driven insights into BigPanda, configuring alert correlation, building data pipelines, and tuning algorithms for performance and accuracy. The role involves collaborating with infrastructure, DevOps, and application teams to understand operational requirements, transform data into actionable intelligence, and document solutions and best practices. Engineers will also monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, optimize models and rules, and contribute to continuous improvement of reliability and observability platforms.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Computer Science and Algorithms, including data structures and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Statistics and Pattern Recognition to build and evaluate robust machine learning models.
  • Experience with Neural Networks and modern ML frameworks for modeling complex operational and event data.
  • Hands-on experience with BigPanda or similar AIOps/monitoring platforms, alert correlation, and incident management.
  • Skill with scripting and programming languages commonly used in ML and automation (e.g., Python, Java, or similar).
  • Experience building data pipelines and integrating data from monitoring, logging, and infrastructure tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevOps practices.
  • Ability to analyze large datasets, communicate technical concepts clearly, and collaborate in cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with IT operations, SRE, or AIOps domains is beneficial.
