Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, driven, and collaborative Cybersecurity Project Manager to guide cross-functional technical teams in delivering critical security initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for leading full project lifecycles, aligning security architecture requirements with business goals, managing financial forecasting, and ensuring secure solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
This is a high-visibility project management role requiring a solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, IT infrastructure, and structured delivery methodologies. You will coordinate deliverables ranging from project charters and solution design documents to UAT approvals and change management strategies. If you excel at bridging technical security concepts with executive stakeholder communication, we want to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Project Lifecycle Delivery & Governance

• Documentation & Artifacts: Oversee the creation of project charters, solution design documents (SDDs), technical documentation, agile readiness checklists, UAT approvals, and deployment plans.
• Change Management: Implement structured change management artifacts, including stakeholder assessments and user adoption strategies.
Financial & Vendor Management
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Manage project financials, including Capital (CapEx) versus Operations & Maintenance (O&M) spend forecasting, budgeting, variance explanations, accruals, and resource capacity planning.
• Vendor Coordination: Contribute to project management processes supporting Statement of Work (SOW) development, vendor tracking, and third-party milestone monitoring.
Risk, Dependency & Stakeholder Management
• Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate project risks, issues, decisions, and cross-team dependencies.
• Executive Communication: Foster collaboration across multi-functional departments, translating complex technical security concepts into clear insights for non-technical stakeholders and executive sponsors.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional technical project management experience).
• Experience Baseline: Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience leading complex IT and cybersecurity projects involving internal/external labor and non-labor cost components.
• Technical Mastery:
oExtensive knowledge of project management best practices across Waterfall, Agile, and SDLC methodologies.
oHands-on proficiency with project management and reporting tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow, Power BI).
oProven experience managing project financials, cost-to-completion metrics, and resource capacity planning.
• Core Competencies: Excellent leadership and indirect team coaching abilities; superior business process analysis and mapping skills; outstanding written and verbal communication capabilities.
Preferred Attributes
• Professional project management certification (e.g., PMP).
• Agile certifications such as Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO).
• Familiarity with ITIL (v3 or v4) frameworks.
• Prior experience with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tools, policy/standard management, risk assessments, or exception tracking.
