Job Title

Preoperative Registered Nurse (RN)

Location

Dublin, OH

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Days | Monday–Friday, 5:30 AM–4:00 PM (4x10-hour shifts) | No on-call or weekend commitments

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide preoperative nursing care and assessment for patients preparing for surgical procedures
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs, medical history, and pre-surgical status
  • Administer preoperative medications and interventions as ordered by the surgical team
  • Educate patients and families on preoperative procedures and post-operative expectations
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure safe and timely patient preparation
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio or compact licensure
  • Current BLS certification
  • Experience in preoperative, PACU, or perioperative nursing
  • Strong patient assessment and clinical documentation skills
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Prior experience in a high-volume surgical or perioperative setting
  • Familiarity with preoperative protocols and surgical preparation standards
