Job Summary:
As the Director, Operations, you will be responsible for leading and managing telecom construction operations across the Ohio Construction Services organization, including project management and field operations. You will oversee strategic initiatives, optimize operational processes, and ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within budget. Your customers include internal leadership teams, project teams, and external clients, and you will contribute to Congruex's success through operational excellence, financial performance, quality delivery, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities (Including, but not limited to):
• Lead telecom infrastructure construction and operations to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality project execution.
• Drive division performance to achieve profitability, operational efficiency, and strategic business objectives.
• Establish and monitor KPIs to measure effectiveness and ensure compliance with operational, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Develop and implement policies, procedures, and workflows that optimize productivity and improve performance.
• Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing construction management teams while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Manage client, vendor, and stakeholder relationships to support project success and long-term partnerships.
• Additional responsibilities within functional scope based on business needs.
Required Qualifications:
Education, Licensing, and Certifications
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
Experience
• 10+ years of telecom construction experience.
• Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing large-scale telecom infrastructure projects and operational teams.
Skills and Abilities
• Strong knowledge of telecommunications network deployments, permitting, and construction methodologies.
• Proven leadership and team-building capabilities with a track record of driving performance.
• Proficiency in construction management software, project tracking tools, and financial analysis.
• Strong problem-solving, strategic planning, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of OSHA, FCC, and telecom construction regulatory standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience overseeing multi-market telecom construction operations.
• Familiarity with emerging telecom technologies and infrastructure deployment strategies.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, and work in office and field environments for extended periods.
• Work performed outdoors and in varying weather conditions during site visits.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review.
