Job description

MissionHires is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer / Journeyman Electrician to lead complex commercial and industrial projects across Central and Southwest Ohio. This role drives multidisciplinary electrical design and field coordination, manages a team of ~12, and ensures compliant, integrated high- and medium-voltage systems, power distribution, lighting, telecom, data, transformers, and PLCs. Ideal for a hands‑on leader with deep power systems expertise and cross‑functional project coordination experience.

Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical engineering design and execution for commercial and industrial facilities
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 12 engineers and technical staff
  • Oversee high-voltage and medium-voltage systems design, integration, and commissioning support
  • Manage power distribution, lighting systems, transformers, PLCs, telecom, and data infrastructure
  • Coordinate closely with design, construction, and project management teams to align scope, schedule, and budget
  • Utilize industry-standard platforms for modeling, collaboration, and project tracking (e.g., Revit, Procore, SolidWorks, Navisworks, BIM 360)
  • Ensure adherence to applicable electrical codes, standards, and client requirements
  • Oversee multiple concurrent projects and drive cross‑functional alignment and risk mitigation
  • Support field coordination, resolve design issues, and ensure constructability and quality
Requirements
  • 10+ years of progressive electrical engineering experience
  • Active Journeyman License
  • Proven experience managing direct reports and leading engineering teams
  • Hands‑on experience with all of the following: High Voltage systems; Medium Voltage systems; Telecom infrastructure; Data systems; Lighting systems; Power distribution; Transformers; PLCs
  • Demonstrated expertise in electrical system integration across complex facilities
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects and coordinate cross‑functional teams
  • Solid understanding of applicable electrical codes and industry standards
  • Industry exposure to sophisticated facilities such as healthcare, aviation, hospitality, military, data centers, warehousing, or industrial environments (experience in one or more is sufficient)
  • Familiarity with one or more platforms such as Revit, Procore, SolidWorks, Navisworks, or BIM 360
