Job description

About the Role

You'll run shifts at our Columbus studio, keeping data collection sessions on schedule and on spec. You're the person on the floor making sure moderators have what they need, participants are checked in and moving through sessions, and every session hits its quality bar. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who likes running a tight operation.

  • Location: Columbus, OH (Discovery District), 100% onsite
  • Type: Part time, hourly
  • Pay: $20 to $25 per hour
What You'll Do
  • Lead studio shifts during active data collection projects, from open to close
  • Coordinate moderators, office staff, and participants across concurrent sessions
  • Monitor session quality and completion against project specifications
  • Track attendance, session counts, and daily metrics; escalate issues to the operations team
  • Handle on-the-spot problem solving: no-shows, equipment hiccups, schedule changes
  • Help onboard new moderators and studio staff
What You Bring
  • Experience managing shifts, teams, or operations. Retail, hospitality, events, warehouse, food service, and campus leadership all count
  • Calm, organized presence when multiple things are happening at once
  • Clear communication with staff and participants
  • Reliability. Sessions run on schedule and depend on you being there
  • Availability for part-time shifts during active project periods, including some evenings and weekends
  • College students with leadership experience are welcome to apply
Why This Role

You'll get direct operational leadership experience inside one of the fastest-growing areas of AI, flexible part-time scheduling, and a front-row seat to how AI training data actually gets made.

HumanSignal is an equal opportunity employer. Final pay within the posted range is based on experience and shift responsibilities.
