This role offers the opportunity to perform high-quality welding and fabrication work with structural steel and miscellaneous metals in an industrial and commercial environment. You will use MIG welding techniques and blueprint reading skills to support a busy job shop and field service operations, contributing to a growing specialty contractor and steel fabrication business.

• Perform MIG welding on structural steel and miscellaneous metals in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings to determine material requirements, weld types, and assembly procedures.
• Assist with steel erection activities for commercial and industrial projects, ensuring safe and accurate installation.
• Complete fabrication tasks such as cutting, fitting, and assembling metal components for structural and miscellaneous metal work.
• Work in a job shop environment, handling varied custom fabrication and metal work assignments.
• Support field service work at industrial and commercial sites, including on-site welding and fabrication as needed.
• Inspect welds and fabricated components for quality, accuracy, and structural integrity, making adjustments or repairs when necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to plan work, resolve fabrication challenges, and meet project deadlines.
• Maintain welding and fabrication equipment, tools, and work areas in clean, safe, and working condition.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working with structural steel, welding equipment, and in field environments.

• Proven experience working with structural steel in a fabrication or construction environment.
• Strong MIG welding skills with the ability to produce consistent, high-quality welds.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings accurately.
• Experience with steel erection on commercial and industrial projects.
• Background in commercial and industrial work settings.
• Ability to work confidently with structural steel and other miscellaneous metals.
• Capability to perform job shop welding and fabrication tasks.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety in all welding and fabrication work.

• Experience in job shop welding and custom metal fabrication.
• Background in metal fabrication and general metal work.
• Familiarity with fabrication machine shop operations and equipment.
• Experience with steel erection and structure assembly.

You will work primarily in a newly renovated workplace and job shop, with additional assignments in industrial and commercial field service environments. The schedule runs from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The work involves structural steel, miscellaneous metals, and fabrication tasks using welding and machine shop equipment in an active job shop setting, as well as on-site work at customer locations.

This is a Permanent position based out of Baltimore, OH.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
