Job description


We are seeking a Structural Engineer (3-7 years) to join the Structural Engineering department. This position will be based in Columbus, OH.
Position Overview:
You will be designing advanced structural systems within the respective markets listed below.These systems may include mat foundations, deep foundations, two-way concrete slabs and composite floor systems, moment, braced and dual structural lateral load systems and shear walls.

Requirements
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Thoroughunderstanding of building and material codes such as ASCE 7, AISC, ACI andTMS.
  • Advancedknowledge of Concrete, Structural Steel, and Masonry.
  • Performstructural analysis and design of Concrete, Structural Steel, and Masonrystructures.
  • Experiencewith structural analysis and design software such as RAM, STAAD Pro,ETABS, and RISA-3D.
  • Experiencewith multi-story building design.
  • Highlyproficient in Revit.
  • Capableof creating 3-D models, structural drawings, sections and details in Revit.
  • Prepareconstruction documents (drawings and specifications) and cost estimates.
  • Conductsite visits and prepare field observation reports.
  • Effectivecollaboration with Clients, Consultants, and other in-house disciplines.
  • Occasionalscheduled travel will be required.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor'sDegree in Civil or Structural Engineering; Masters preferred.
  • Structuralsoftware proficiency is required.
  • Revitproficiency is required.
  • Experiencewith Water/Wastewater Projects a plus.
  • Experiencewith Concrete Rehabilitation a plus.
  • Familiaritywith Project Management best practices a plus.
  • Targeting3 to 7 years of experience.
