Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician
Facility: Mount Carmel St. Ann's
Address: 500 S Cleveland Ave, Westerville, OH 43081, United States
Contract: 13 weeks
Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $30 per hour

Job Details:
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment to ensure patient safety and proper surgical outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Decontaminate and sterilize surgical instruments and trays
  • Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage
  • Assemble instrument sets according to surgical needs
  • Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and gas sterilizers
  • Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and equipment usage
  • Distribute sterile supplies and equipment to various departments
  • Follow infection control procedures and safety protocols
  • Assist in maintaining inventory of sterile supplies
  • Collaborate with surgical and nursing teams to meet equipment needs
