Job Description


Stagehands serve as intermittent staff for the Schottenstein Center and provide general support for special events, including load-in and load-out. Stagehands follow direction from staff and road crew, interact and communicate well, work safely as part of a team, and are flexible and accepting of changes in a creative environment.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • General labor including box pushing (70%)
  • Installing carpentry, staging, and props (15%)
  • Installing video, sound, and entertainment lighting equipment (15%)
  • Rigging installation/operation (based on experience and attendance of Schottenstein Center trainings)
  • Driving a forklift (based on experience and attendance of Schottenstein Center trainings)
  • Truck loading/unloading (based on experience)

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience handling show production equipment and using hand tools
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. safely, work at height from ladders and personnel lifts and have the ability to reach, climb and kneel.
