Job description

DIRECT HIRE

Location: New Lebanon, IN.

Per Diem: Paid per working day at GSA rate for the site city. Travel to and from the site at the start and end of the project is also covered. Pay Range: $125,000 – $145,000. Retirement or pension plan in line with local norms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Boots-to-the-ground leader executing large‑scale, mission‑critical construction projects from groundbreaking through commissioning and handoff.
  • Own daily site operations, coordinate trades, subcontractors, GC relationships and union representatives simultaneously.
  • Enforce safety and quality standards and drive schedules to aggressive delivery milestones.
  • Read and interpret complex structural, mechanical and electrical drawings, specs, RFIs, and resolve field issues quickly.
  • Manage onsite logistics, materials and equipment coordination.
  • Progress reporting to internal stakeholders and external partners is vital.
Required Skills/Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience leading on‑site construction activities for large‑scale, mission‑critical infrastructure projects.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors while coordinating effectively with general contractors, owners, and union representatives.
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable building codes, safety regulations and industry standards, including OSHA, NFPA and NEC requirements.
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply structural, mechanical and electrical drawings, specifications, submittals and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Experience managing project schedules, site logistics, material deliveries, equipment coordination and day‑to‑day field operations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting hyperscale data center construction projects exceeding 50 MW and $100 million in value.
  • Knowledge of liquid cooling systems and high‑density power infrastructure.
  • Experience overseeing or coordinating commissioning activities for mission‑critical facilities.
Physical Demands
  • Ability to walk active construction sites for extended periods throughout the day.
  • Frequent climbing of stairs, ladders and access platforms in multi‑story facilities.
  • Ability to stand, bend, kneel, crouch and reach while inspecting equipment and installations.
  • Must be able to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust and construction activities.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, steel‑toe boots, hearing protection and fall protection equipment as required.
  • Must be capable of accessing confined spaces, elevated work areas and equipment rooms when necessary.
  • Ability to read plans, equipment labels, test instruments and computer screens.
  • Frequent use of laptops, tablets and mobile devices for documentation, reporting and commissioning activities.
  • Ability to travel as required and work extended hours, weekends or shift schedules.
