Job description

Minimum 5 Years of Commercial Electrical Experience

Reli Electric is looking for an experienced Lead Commercial Electrician who is capable of running commercial electrical projects from start to finish.
This position is for someone who can take ownership of a project, understand the complete electrical scope, coordinate the daily work, and lead apprentices and other electricians in the field. The right candidate must also be willing to work hands-on alongside the crew when needed.

Types of Projects
Our commercial work commonly includes:
  • Commercial tenant improvement projects.
  • White-box and shell build-outs.
  • Ground-up commercial buildings.
  • Ground-up restaurants and commercial kitchens.
  • Office build-outs and remodels.
  • Retail stores and shopping center remodels.
  • Projects at Easton Town Center and other occupied commercial locations.
  • Electrical service, panel, lighting, and equipment installations.
  • Fire alarm installations and modifications as required.
  • Commercial remodels and renovation projects.

Position Responsibilities
The Lead Commercial Electrician will be responsible for:
  • Running commercial electrical projects from layout through completion.
  • Reading and understanding electrical plans, specifications, and project scope.
  • Planning daily work and assigning responsibilities to the crew.
  • Leading, training, and working alongside apprentices.
  • Coordinating with the general contractor, project manager, superintendent, and other trades.
  • Keeping projects organized and moving according to schedule.
  • Identifying material, equipment, and manpower needs ahead of time.
  • Installing conduit, wiring, panels, lighting, devices, fire alarm equipment, and commercial kitchen equipment connections.
  • Completing accurate job documentation and communicating project updates.
  • Ensuring installations meet NEC requirements, project specifications, and Reli Electric’s quality standards.
  • Maintaining a safe, professional, and organized jobsite.
  • Reviewing completed work and correcting issues before inspections or project turnover.

Required Experience
Applicants must have:
  • At least 5 years of commercial electrical experience.
  • Previous experience leading commercial projects and managing a crew.
  • Experience with tenant improvements, restaurants, retail stores, offices, or similar commercial projects.
  • The ability to read and work from electrical blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial electrical systems and the National Electrical Code.
  • Experience bending and installing EMT conduit.
  • Experience with electrical services, panels, feeders, branch circuits, lighting, controls, and equipment connections.
  • The ability to communicate professionally with customers, general contractors, inspectors, and other trades.
  • A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
  • The ability to work independently and make responsible field decisions.

Experience with fire alarm installations, commercial kitchens, ground-up construction, and occupied remodel projects is strongly preferred.
