Compensation: $40 per class (4–8 classes per week; weekday, weeknight, and weekend availability)

Position Overview

The Group Fitness Instructor plays an important role in enhancing The Medallion Club experience by leading engaging, safe, and motivating fitness classes in a member‑focused environment. This position is ideal for an energetic, service‑driven professional who is passionate about wellness and skilled in teaching Step Aerobics, Pilates, or other group fitness formats. The instructor ensures each class reflects the club’s commitment to excellence, hospitality, and overall member well‑being.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead high‑quality group fitness classes such as Step Aerobics, Pilates, or other approved formats with professionalism, enthusiasm, and attention to safety.
  • Create a welcoming environment by greeting members warmly and fostering a positive, inclusive class atmosphere.
  • Prepare class formats, music, and equipment in advance to ensure a smooth and engaging experience.
  • Provide clear instruction, proper demonstrations, and modifications to accommodate varying fitness levels.
  • Monitor participant technique and safety, offering guidance and encouragement throughout class.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe studio environment before and after each session.
  • Communicate effectively with the Fitness Manager and team regarding scheduling, class needs, and member feedback.
  • Support special fitness events, workshops, or seasonal programming as needed.
  • Uphold club standards of hospitality, professionalism, and service excellence.

Qualifications

  • Certification in Step Aerobics, Pilates, Group Fitness, or related specialty required.
  • Previous experience teaching group fitness classes preferred.
  • CPR/AED certification strongly preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a warm, member‑focused demeanor.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire participants while maintaining a safe and structured class environment.
  • Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering consistent, high‑quality instruction.
  • Flexible availability, including weekdays, evenings, and weekends.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to demonstrate fitness movements safely and effectively.
  • Ability to lift, move, and set up equipment as needed.
  • Ability to stand, move, and instruct for extended periods.
