Job Summary
Battelle's Internal Audit team is currently seeking an Information Security Auditor who will play a vital role in assessing cyber risk, strengthening controls, and protecting critical systems that support our global mission. Responsibilities
  • Support data-driven IT and information security risk assessments to identify emerging risks.
  • Participate in IT, information security, operational, and compliance audits.
  • Perform walkthroughs, review documentation, and analyze system configurations.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear audit documentation.
  • Evaluate compliance with regulatory and security frameworks (DFARS, NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).
  • Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
  • Prepare high-quality audit workpapers and draft audit reports.
  • Support special reviews, investigations, and strategic Internal Audit initiatives.
  • Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across the organization.

Key Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 2+ years of IT or information security experience.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Active or eligible DoD Secret clearance.
  • Audit, risk advisory, or internal controls experience.
  • Certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CIA, or CPA.
