Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Alarm Investigation

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Alarm Investigation in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while working with a reliable, agile team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.98 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTime Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, drivers, and/or vendors at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, docks, parking areas, office spaces, and the facility perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and vehicle traffic, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs of visitors, deliveries, and/or incidents.
  • Observe freight handling and distribution operations for unusual activity, report hazards or policy concerns, and support continuity of site operations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
