Job Description
We are seeking a Research Assistant to conduct complex data analysis. This person will be involved in various aspects of projects from concept and story writing to the coding, programming and implementation of results.
Responsibilities
  • Converts business needs into mathematical equations/expressions.
  • Develops mathematical and/or heuristic algorithm(s) with all practical constraints and assumptions.
  • Codes the analytical tools in assigned languages.
  • Conducts tool design reviews.
  • Creates prototype of tool with basic interface for management.
  • Documents tool design process.

Required Education and Experience
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as python, C++ java etc, required.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, required.
  • Good communication skills, required.
  • Working knowledge of SQL, preferred.
  • Good understanding of basic concepts in optimization and simulation, preferred.
  • Good understanding of current heuristics/meta-heuristics used in industry and academia to solve analytical problems, preferred.
