Job description

Cloud Engineer – Contract

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to join our team in Columbus, OH. This is an onsite role (4 days per week) supporting enterprise-scale cloud and infrastructure initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong background in infrastructure engineering/administration (6+ years) with at least 3 years of hands-on cloud engineering or DevOps experience. You will design, deploy, and optimize Azure-based cloud infrastructure, leveraging modern IaC and containerization tools while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive scalability, security, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Azure-native services.
  • Manage container orchestration and deployment with Kubernetes.
  • Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines to improve automation and delivery speed.
  • Support large-scale network and infrastructure projects, ensuring secure and scalable environments.
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, and architecture teams to align solutions with business goals.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues in networking, compute, and storage environments.
  • Script and automate tasks using Python and/or Unix Shell scripting.
  • (Nice-to-Have) Experience with Spectra or cloud backup & recovery tools.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years in infrastructure engineering or systems administration.
  • 3+ years in cloud engineering or DevOps roles.
  • Hands-on expertise with:
