EDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE
- 2-year degree in Computer Sciences, IT, or a related discipline; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years in IT
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Create programs on the iSeries in RPG, RPG SQL, CL and SQL
- Create reports in Star Query
- Support Business Applications including:
- Infor XA
- CCore
- Compleo
- Follow department procedures related to change control and perform other duties as required
BACKGROUND/ SKILLS
- RPG/CL programming experience.
- iSeries Job Control
- Logic Development and troubleshooting
SPECIAL TRAINING/ CERTIFICATES
- None
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to Astemo's Safety Policy and practices and report any potential unsafe condition or concern to the Safety department immediately and/or to your direct supervisor.
- Programming within iSeries in CL, RPG, RPG IV, SQLRPG, SQL
- Development of reports and systems within Star Query Suite or similar.
- Support of the CCore and Gentran Systems.
- Managing and prioritizing several technical activities and tasks simultaneously in order to meet departmental objectives.
- Troubleshoot and assist with issues on plant floor
- Responsible for providing "on-call" and off-hours support for production systems.
- Interface with hardware and software vendors when applicable.
- Support departmental 6S activities.
- Perform other duties as required.
