Mac OS Cloud Software Automation Engineer
Position Overview:
We are seeking a macOS Automation Platform and Cloud Build Engineer to build the infrastructure, pipeline automation, and device management integrations that power scalable macOS packaging and distribution. This role is weighted toward Phase 2 delivery, including migrating AutoPkg execution to cloud-based builds on AWS EC2 Mac instances orchestrated with Terraform, and integrating automated distribution and telemetry workflows using Workspace ONE APIs and Omnissa Intelligence.
Responsibilities:
  • Provision and manage AWS EC2 Mac build infrastructure using Terraform, including repeatable environments, configuration standards, and lifecycle management
  • Design and implement CI and CD pipelines that integrate packaging build steps, security scanning, compliance validation, and artifact promotion with deterministic and auditable automation
  • Integrate with Workspace ONE APIs to automate package upload, ring-based deployment, and telemetry consumption via Omnissa Intelligence
  • Establish secure handling of credentials, secrets, signing materials, and build artifacts with traceability and compliance in mind
  • Implement pipeline observability, logging, and failure handling patterns that support reliable operations and fast issue resolution
  • Collaborate with macOS packaging engineers, security teams, and platform stakeholders to define interfaces between build systems, compliance gates, and distribution services
  • Maintain all infrastructure code, pipeline definitions, and integration code in GitHub with strong code review and change control practices
  • Apply AI assisted and agentic automation approaches where appropriate to reduce toil and improve delivery speed while maintaining auditability
Qualifications:
Required
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, specifically for provisioning and managing AWS EC2 Mac instances
  • Proven ability to build CI and CD pipelines that replace manual handoffs with deterministic and auditable automation
  • Experience integrating enterprise platforms via APIs, including authentication patterns, error handling, and operational telemetry
  • Familiarity with Workspace ONE APIs for application distribution workflows, including package upload and deployment concepts
  • Strong Git and GitHub workflow discipline, including branching strategies, pull requests, and code review participation
  • Ability to work across engineering, security, and operations stakeholders to deliver secure and reliable platform capabilities
Preferred
  • Understanding of AutoPkg execution patterns and how AutoPkg workflows interact with build systems and artifact repositories
  • Python proficiency for pipeline tooling and integrations, including custom validation steps and compliance gating
  • AI or agentic development proficiency, especially for automation orchestration, workflow agents, and operational assistant patterns
  • Web application development experience and modern API interface design to support later phase portal enablement
