Job Title:Postdoc FellowDepartment:Veterinary Medicine | Veterinary Biosciences

Xu lab at the department of Veterinary Biosciencesisseeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar with expertise inviral research andantibody discoveryto join our interdisciplinary team focused on understanding antibody-antigeninteractions and advancing vaccine and therapeutic design forviral diseasesand other diseases that affect both humans and animals. The successful candidate will be involved in theviral entry study, as well asantibody discovery and characterization. Responsibilities will includesetting up virology study, andantibodyfunctional study. The postdoc will collaborate closely with researchers in immunology and related fields, contribute to publications and grant writing, and will have the opportunity to explore independent research projects aligned with the lab's goals. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, and passionate aboutour research.

Physical Requirements:

This position will be based in a research laboratory environment with standard laboratory conditions.

Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods for data analysis, and manuscript preparation.

May requireroutinework with biological samples, including recombinant proteins and antibodies.

Use of specialized equipment.

Adherence to safety protocols for handling biological and chemical reagents.

Occasional evening or weekend work may be required based on experimental timelines.

Additional Information:

Minimum Requirements:

Ph.D.with hands-on experience withviral study andantibodyfunctional characterization.

Proven ability to carry outrelated experiments.

Strong background in molecular biology, protein biochemistry, andothercharacterization methods.

Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.

Desired Requirements:

Experiencein virology study, antibody functionalanalysis.

Prior work onantibodyengineering or rational design.

Experience mentoring junior researchers or supervising laboratory personnel.
