Job Overview
The Research Scientist will lead and support innovative research initiatives within artificial intelligence, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and technology within the university-wide AI (X) Hub. This will span 15 colleges and unlock the exponential possibilities that emerge when AI is fused with expertise across six strategic pillars: foundations, health, engineering and sciences, agriculture, cybersecurity and trustworthy AI. This role involves designing innovative AI-based solutions for diverse applications, working together with domain experts to conduct experiments, analyzing data, publishing findings, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate scientific rigor, creativity, and a commitment to excellence in research.
Required Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent terminal degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting independent research.
  • Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Proficiency in relevant laboratory techniques, software, or analytical tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
