Job Title: Senior Cisco Network Engineer

Location: Columbus, OH (Hybrid – 4 Days Onsite, 1 Day Remote)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cisco Network Engineer to join our client''s infrastructure team in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise Cisco networking environments.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years of experience with Cisco networking technologies, including:
    • Cisco IOS / IOS-XE
    • Catalyst Series Switches
    • Cisco DNA Center
    • Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
    • TACACS+
    • VLANs
    • Spanning Tree Protocol (STP)
    • Quality of Service (QoS)
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, optimizing, and troubleshooting:
    • Cisco Routers
    • Cisco Switches
    • Cisco Firewalls
    • Wireless LAN Controllers
    • Cisco Wireless Access Points
  • 10+ years of experience implementing and supporting:
    • Advanced Routing
    • VPN Technologies
    • Port Channels (EtherChannel)
    • First-Hop Redundancy Protocols (HSRP/VRRP/GLBP)
  • 10+ years of experience terminating and testing:
    • Copper Cabling
    • Fiber Cabling
    • Cable Certification using testers/light meters
    • Rack installation and infrastructure management
  • Strong documentation skills using:
    • Microsoft Word
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft Visio
    • SharePoint
  • Experience creating network diagrams, standard operating procedures, and asset documentation.
Certifications
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)Required
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)Highly Preferred
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with PowerShell or similar scripting languages for automation.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in enterprise environments.
  • Ability to work independently and resolve complex technical issues.
