Lab Technician
Pay:
$23-25/hour W2
Location:975 Pittsburgh Drive, Delaware, OH 43015
Duration:6-month contract starting M-F, full-time (40 hours); W2

Role Overview

Our client is seeking a hands-on Lab Technician to join theirengineering team in Delaware, OH. In this role, you will execute electrical testing, assist with prototype assembly, and perform detailed technical teardowns down to the PCB level. Working alongside product engineers, you will maintain lab safety standards, troubleshoot complex electrical circuits, and document findings to support cross-functional global development projects.


Duties:

  • Sets up and performs tests requested by product engineers.
  • Assist with assembly of prototype units
  • Organizes and maintains a safe, clean, productive lab space.
  • Performs product tear downs and technical analysis down to the PCB level.
  • Reports findings in an organized manner.
Skills:

  • Basic working knowledge in power/electrical engineering; AC and DC power 20kVA circuits, microprocessor and sensor interfacing, firmware interfacing, DC batteries, connectors/wire harnesses.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and identification of components.
  • Strong engineering troubleshooting skills with the ability to solve (and prevent) a wide range of problems quickly andmethodically.
  • Ability to operate in an electrical testing lab environment safely and successfully.
  • Very strong planning, organizing, documentation, and communicationskills.
  • Ability to multitask and operate in cross functional global developmentteams.
Education:
  • Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 3-5 years test engineering experience with electrical-based products OR Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 2-3 years test engineering experience with electrical-based products.
