Job Title: Cleanroom Technician / Production Operator
Job Description
This role focuses on operating screen-printing equipment in a high-volume apparel production environment to create high-quality printed garments. You prepare screens, set up and run machines, and ensure each product meets established quality and accuracy standards. You work closely with a production team across 1st or 2nd shift to support a busy, fast-paced operation.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate screen-printing machines to produce high-quality printed garments according to production specifications.
- Prepare screens and ensure proper alignment, registration, and ink application before starting production runs.
- Load garments and other items onto printing equipment and unload finished products safely and efficiently.
- Monitor printing machines during operation to ensure consistent quality, accuracy, and output.
- Inspect printed garments for defects, color accuracy, and overall quality, and make adjustments as needed.
- Follow documented procedures and use Microsoft tools to record work activities, production counts, or related information as required.
- Perform general production tasks, including staging materials, organizing work areas, and assisting with workflow as needed.
- Troubleshoot basic issues with screen-printing equipment and take appropriate action to resolve or escalate problems.
- Support machine maintenance activities by cleaning equipment and reporting any maintenance needs.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and maintain a steady workflow.
- Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area in the production facility.
Essential Skills
- At least 2 years of experience as a general production worker in a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Hands-on experience setting up and operating screen-printing machines.
- Ability to load and unload garments and materials onto printing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Experience with general machine operation in a production setting.
- Basic Microsoft experience to document work and follow digital instructions or logs.
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and quality standards for printed products.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure prints meet quality and accuracy requirements.
- Willingness to learn new processes, equipment, and production techniques.
- Capability to perform general labor tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
- Basic troubleshooting skills to identify and address common printing or equipment issues.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain screen-printing equipment beyond basic operation.
- Experience training others to operate screen-printing equipment or production machinery.
- Experience documenting work, production data, or processes using Microsoft tools.
- Comfort working in a non-climate-controlled production environment.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively within a close-knit production team.

Work Environment
This role is based in a large production facility with over 100 employees and a mix of full-time associates and contractors. The environment is non climate controlled and can be fast paced due to steady demand in the apparel printing industry. Work is performed on 1st shift (5:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday through Friday) or 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM, Monday through Friday), operating screen-printing machines and related production equipment. You work on-site with a close-knit team, using provided tools and equipment to complete daily production tasks while adhering to safety and cleanliness standards
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lewis Center, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.00/hr.
