Job description

Construction Safety Manager

Location: Jeffersonville, OH

Duration: 3 Weeks (Start: 8/3/2026)

Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation & Schedule

Pay Rate: $52/hr

Per Diem: None

Completion Bonus: $150/month

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM | 40-50 Hours Per Week

Join a contractor supporting precast concrete erection on a large-scale data center construction project in Jeffersonville, OH. This role provides hands-on safety oversight during a critical phase of construction involving crane operations, rigging, lift planning, precast panel installation, and elevated work.

The Construction Safety Manager will maintain a strong field presence while supporting crews during precast erection activities, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, project safety requirements, and safe work practices throughout all lifting and installation operations.

Required Qualifications

OSHA 30 Construction Certification

Current CPR/First Aid Certification

What You'll Be Doing
  • Oversee daily safety activities for precast concrete erection operations
  • Conduct daily Job Safety Analysis (JSA) reviews and verify documentation
  • Maintain a highly visible field presence throughout erection activities
  • Monitor crane operations, rigging, and lift plan execution
  • Support safe installation of precast structural components
  • Ensure compliance with fall protection requirements during elevated work
  • Monitor barricades, controlled access zones, and exclusion areas
  • Perform and coordinate fire watch activities as required
  • Support spotting operations during equipment movement and lifting activities
  • Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and field observations
  • Provide daily safety coaching to craft personnel and field supervision
  • Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation as needed
  • Maintain safety documentation, reports, inspections, and compliance records
  • Promote a proactive safety culture throughout the project
