Pay Rate: $23.31-$38.39 hourly
Job Description:
The Police Officer is responsible for protection and safety of all center staff, patients and visitors.
  • Patrols all areas of the FMC main campus, off-site locations in and outside of the city.
  • Ability to use, maintain, carry, and shoot firearms including: pistols, shotguns, rifles, and automatic weapons to the department standards.
  • Responds to radio dispatched, citizen reported or directly observed calls for police action.
  • Conduct preliminary investigations of crimes, accidents, and suspicious or dangerous incidents.
  • Responds to the scenes of accidents, emergencies and disasters and remove people from dangerous situations.
  • Makes arrests and takes persons into custody.
  • Inspect, maintain and drive motor vehicles.
  • Appear and testify at trials and hearings.
  • Complete forms, records and compose reports.

Job Qualifications:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • An associates degree in Police Science or Criminal Justice preferred.
  • Successful completion of the State of Ohio required police training program and State Certification examination required.
  • One year of police experience preferred.
  • Valid State of Ohio Drivers License.

Exerting up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible up to 10 pounds amount of force often.
