What you'll do as a Facility Maintenance Specialist 2:
  • Complete advanced preventative maintenance, repairs & installations of electrical wiring systems, fixtures & controls, plumbing systems, HVAC & mechanical equipment & structural, security & life-safety systems & install, operate & maintain electronic equipment & sustainable/green building systems including direct digital control, air quality & lighting sensors, telecommunication/data, security & computerized building maintenance & automation systems.
  • Inspect, install, maintain & repair electrical systems including wiring, fixtures, floor boxes, controls & equipment (e.g., motors, appliances, fans, transformers, heating & cooling equipment, rooftop exhaust fans, fire & other alarm systems, elevators & switches).
  • Install & replace lighting fixtures, bulbs, ballasts, switches & fuses; Run conduit & pull wire for outlets, switches & equipment for 110/120 & 208/277 volt.

Qualifications
Successful completion of post-secondary training in facilities maintenance technology, industrial trades technology or comparable training program
AND 3 yrs. exp. in construction/building maintenance that included carpentry, electrical, plumbing & HVAC. If required to operate state vehicle must have valid driver license.
