Job description
Serve as brand ambassador, providing excellent customer service while delivering customer orders to the home. Drive a company delivery vehicle showing safe, efficient driving behavior and following Kroger's driving standards. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.Minimum
V alid driver's license
E xcellent communication and customer service skills
M ust annually pass a DOT regulated medical exam
M ust be at least 21 years old
M ust be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
A bility to operate a delivery van and handheld tablet device
M ust have a good driving record
Desired
H igh School Diploma or GED
A ny delivery driver experience
A ny customer service experience
M ay require chauffer's license in some states
P rovide excellent customer service while delivering orders to the customer
A ct as a brand ambassador when discussing Kroger's Seamless Experience and delivery process with customers
E nsure a high degree of professionalism and personal presentation when interacting with customers
D rive a company vehicle safely and in accordance to Kroger's driving standards
E nsure customer orders are delivered on time and in good condition, resolving any issues that may occur
M aintain customer communication while in route to inform them of any issues or changes to their delivery in adherence with Kroger delivery standards
C ontrol and maintain an accurate record of customer deliveries
A ssist fellow drivers that may encounter difficulties while out delivering
E nsure that goods are kept within the correct temperature guidelines; monitor and record temperatures to follow food health and safety regulations
H andle product safely and in accordance with food safety guidelines; record any serious breakages or contamination issues and report to supervisor
C omplete pre-inspections check of company vehicle before use and report any defects to supervisor
O perate company provided technology devices for mapping and customer interaction
M ust be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
