Job description

Description Summary: The Treasury Management Segment Risk Manager Sr is responsible for leading and overseeing risk management programs specific to Treasury Management within a major business segment or region. This role ensures effective administration of risk strategies, adherence to regulatory and corporate standards, and alignment with organizational objectives. The successful candidate will partner closely with Treasury Management leadership, acting as a key advisor and control advocate within the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of controls and practices specific to Treasury Management processes.
  • Direct and monitor self-assessment and testing activities to ensure compliance with Corporate Risk Management requirements and regulatory expectations.
  • Oversee the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks related to cash management, payments, liquidity, and other Treasury Management services.
  • Escalate critical issues and emerging risks to senior management in a timely manner.
  • Partner with business segment leaders to ensure the risk management function supports strategic and operational goals of Treasury Management.
  • Collaborate with internal audit, corporate risk, and business segment stakeholders to address findings and implement effective action plans.
  • Act as the central point for risk communications, ensuring accurate and timely flow of information between Treasury Management and Corporate Risk teams.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all corporate and business unit policies, procedures, and regulatory standards within the Treasury Management segment.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging risks relevant to Treasury Management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of overall risk management objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field or in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, 4 additional years of segment-specific or risk-related experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Audit, Compliance, Risk Management, Treasury Management, or Operational Risk within financial services.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous management or leadership experience in Treasury Management or related financial services functions.
  • Advanced knowledge of Treasury Management products (ACH, Wires, RTP, RDC, Lockbox etc), services, and related risk management principle.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to solve complex problems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present risk issues clearly and concisely to various audiences.
  • Proven ability to build partnerships and collaborate effectively across business units.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle ambiguity and navigate complex regulatory or operational situations.
  • Track record of influencing change, managing multiple priorities, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) tools.
  • Relevant risk certifications (e.g., CTP, CISA, CRISC, or equivalent) are strongly preferred.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, to enhance risk reporting, analysis, and documentation quality.
