We are currently seeking a Design Engineer - Project Engineer *On-site Only*

As our Design Engineer - Project Engineer you will:

  • Generate detailed drawings for shop production (Assembly drawings, machining drawings, and weldment assemblies).
  • Research, plan, and design mechanical, electromechanical, and hydraulic products and systems.
  • Apply design and drafting standards.
  • Apply machine design and engineering practices to incorporate various types of drives both electric and hydraulic.
  • Utilize clear, concise, and grammatically correct verbal and written communication skills.

Special Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required.
  • 3 - 7 years of experience required.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks.
  • Machine design experience.
  • Understanding of weldment drawings and machining tolerances.
  • Good understanding of engineering design concepts and material properties.
  • Experience with ERP systems, NetSuite preferred.
  • Hydraulic power unit design experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office 365, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to receive and retain instructions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage various tasks simultaneously, organize, prioritize, make decisions, and work efficiently and effectively under deadlines.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with abstract and concrete variables.

Work Environment: Inside office environment. Average office noise levels. No personal protective equipment is required except for occasional visits to the shop.

Physical Requirements: Low physical effort required to sit, stand at files, bend, stoop, lift, and walk; Typing and reading computer and data entry.
