Job description

Capital University invites applications for nursing part-time clinical instructors experienced in various nursing care settings for clinical nursing courses, including fundamentals, medical-surgical, mother-infant, pediatrics, psychiatric, community, and advanced medical-surgical nursing on an ongoing basis. Clinical days are either Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays.
Responsibilities:
  • Teaching and evaluating students in clinical settings.
  • Linking theoretical content to clinical nursing practice experiences.
  • Use of teaching strategies that are appropriate to meet student learning needs.
  • Ensuring applicable course, program, and clinical facility policies are maintained by both self and students.

Required qualifications:
  • Applicable nursing experience and earned BSN required; MSN preferred.
  • Active, unincumbered Ohio RN License required.
  • Previous teaching experience at the baccalaureate or higher level is strongly preferred.
