Physician - Department of Radiology, Emergency Radiologist (Open Rank/Track Faculty)

The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek an Emergency Radiologist to join the Department of Radiology. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience.

We are currently interviewing candidates for all shifts and remote/hybrid opportunities are available for the right candidate. Weekend and holiday coverage is limited and equitably shared among faculty. Traditional in-person, 8am – 5pm coverage Monday – Friday with no evening or overnight call responsibilities. Evening Shift: 5pm – 2am; 7 days on, 14 days off. Overnight Shift: 11pm - 8am; 7 days on, 21 days off.

Position Overview

The Department of Radiology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine/Wexner Medical Center is seeking candidates for faculty positions in Emergency Radiology who are passionate about collaborative, patient-centered clinical excellence, dedicated to advancing research and innovation, committed to education, and inspire inclusivity. He/she/they will contribute to the Department's ambition while upholding the organization's mission and values. The responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to patient care, research, and training graduate and postgraduate students.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Availability to work on-site in the Emergency Department as needed would be desired, with some flexibility available to work some shifts remotely.
  • Contributes to the day-to-day clinical operations of the Emergency Radiology Division of the Department of Radiology:
    • Provides high-quality patient care as related to the Emergency Service.
    • Contributes to clinical and imaging operations as related to the Emergency Service.
  • Education, Training, and Faculty Development:
    • Conducts and provides clinical instruction, lectures, seminars, and related educational offerings, both within OSUWMC and at the regional and national level.
    • Collaborates with faculty and leadership in the Division to develop and refine medical student, resident, and fellow training opportunities.
    • Serves as a mentor and sponsor of residents, fellows, and faculty in the Department.
  • Research and Scholarship:
    • Supports clinical and translational research activities and innovation
    • May serve as PI or Co-I in grants and/or clinical trials
    • Serves on Department, OSUCOM, or OSUWMC committees to represent the research and innovation interests of the Department, as appropriate

Requirements

  • M.D., D.O, or foreign equivalent
  • Board eligible or board certified in Radiology (ABR, ABOR)
  • Completion of subspecialty fellowship in relevant Diagnostic Radiology discipline, or relevant experience in Emergency Radiology, at time of appointment.
  • Must possess or be eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio
