We are seeking an Onsite Systems Manager will support work onsite, at our customer location. You will support customer’s daily operations, troubleshoot, and assist in maintaining pharmacy automation equipment. Acting as a liaison between the customer and Capsa, you will provide valuable feedback on system performance. Ideal candidates are self-starters who are comfortable with ambiguity, flexible, and eager to contribute to the development of tools and processes.


This position reports to the Vice President of Solution, Delivery, and Support and will be in Houston, Texas.

Position Location: Houston, Texas


As the Onsite Systems Manager, your contributions to the team will include:

  • Serve as the customer’s advisor and advocate aligning a variety of stakeholders and seek to achieve the customer’s desired outcomes around inventory control, patient safety & satisfaction.
  • Monitor system performance and KPI’s.
  • Perform and support preventive maintenance activities, including coordinating completion, tracking service tickets and maintenance history, documenting incidents, and maintaining accurate system records.
  • Troubleshoot and repair system issues as a first line of support onsite.
  • Provide remote support to customers after hours as needed; On-call availability for emergencies for two separate weeks out of the year (5:00 pm - 8:00 am).
  • Collaborate with engineering teams and subcontracted vendors to resolve system/component issues.
  • Monitor dispensing and operator activities, communicating common issues to the customer’s central fill leadership technology team.
  • Assist in conducting firmware updates to system components, when needed.
  • Advise customers on system performance, enhancements, and strategies to prevent operational risks.
  • Report information to Capsa Healthcare on system operational performance.

What we ask of you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related fields is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in the Automation Industry (robotics, conveyance); prior experience in a pharmacy, healthcare, or pharmacy automation preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Experience programming industrial automation systems (PLC, HMI).
  • Proficient in creating and editing queries using SQL.
  • On-call availability for emergencies for two separate weeks out of the year (5:00 pm - 8:00 am).
  • Ability to travel up to 12 weeks for initial onboarding training.
