Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Regional Business Manager - Power Switching & Distribution (PSD) - Americas is responsible for leading the commercial success and strategic growth of Vertiv's Power Switching & Distribution portfolio across the Americas (United States, Canada, and Latin America). This role serves as the regional business leader, driving revenue growth, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction while aligning regional execution with the Global Business Unit's strategy.

The Regional Business Manager partners closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, Services, and the Global Business Unit to develop and execute business strategies, optimize pricing and margins, ensure operational readiness, and successfully commercialize new products and solutions. Acting as the Voice of the Customer for the Americas, this role translates market insights into actionable business strategies and influences future product roadmaps.

This position reports to the Director, Power Distribution - Americas and is based on site in Delaware, Ohio

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Business Strategy & Growth: Lead the regional business strategy for the PSD portfolio, driving revenue growth, profitability, market share, and long-term business performance across the Americas. 
  • Commercial Leadership: Develop and execute pricing strategies, commercial approvals, margin improvement initiatives, and strategic business opportunities in partnership with Sales, Finance, and the Global Business Unit. 
  • Portfolio & Market Leadership: Own the regional portfolio strategy by identifying market trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies while serving as the Voice of the Customer to influence the global product roadmap. 
  • Business Performance & Operations: Drive forecasting, demand planning, business reviews, and performance management to ensure alignment between customer demand, manufacturing capacity, and financial objectives. 
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance, and the Global Business Unit to launch new offerings, improve operational execution, and deliver exceptional customer outcomes. 
  • Strategic Planning & Continuous Improvement: Support annual operating plans and long-range strategic planning while leading initiatives that improve business performance, customer experience, and organizational effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or a related field; Electrical Engineering preferred. MBA is a plus. 
  • 7+ years of experience in business management, product management, commercial leadership, technical sales, or a related field. 
  • Experience with electrical power distribution products such as Switchgear, Switchboards, Busway, PDU, STS, RPP, ATS, MTS, or similar infrastructure solutions. 
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen with experience in pricing strategy, profitability, forecasting, and business performance management. 
  • Experience working with hyperscale, colocation, enterprise data center, industrial, or critical infrastructure customers is preferred. 
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders in a matrix organization. 
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, communication, and executive presentation skills. 
  • Fluent in English (written and verbal); Spanish and/or Portuguese is preferred but not required.
