Motorsports Technician

As a Motorsports Technician, you will diagnose, maintain, and repair motorcycles and other powersports vehicles while ensuring each job is completed safely, accurately, and efficiently. You will work closely with our Service and Parts teams to address customer concerns, perform necessary repairs and maintenance, and help keep our customers enjoying the powersports products they love.

Requirements

What You'll Do as a Motorsports Technician:
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair motorcycles and other powersports vehicles
  • Address customer concerns through accurate diagnosis, repair, and quality control
  • Perform maintenance and repairs efficiently and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards
  • Complete inspections and identify necessary maintenance, repairs, and safety concerns
  • Maintain accurate documentation for timekeeping, work performed, inspections, repair recommendations, and communication
  • Follow repair orders and communicate additional service or repair needs to the Service Advisor
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of manufacturer technical information, service procedures, and technical bulletins
  • Use appropriate tools, equipment, and diagnostic systems to complete repairs accurately and efficiently
  • Perform quality checks to ensure repairs and services are completed correctly
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Properly care for dealership and customer equipment while it is being serviced
  • Work collaboratively with Service Advisors, Parts, and other dealership team members to provide an exceptional customer experience

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous powersports, motorcycle, small engine, automotive, or related mechanical experience preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude with strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to perform detailed, accurate, and quality-focused work
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and other equipment necessary to perform repairs
  • Strong attention to safety and proper repair procedures
  • Ability to read and follow repair procedures, service information, and manufacturer guidelines
  • Manufacturer, technical school, or industry certifications preferred
  • Willingness to participate in manufacturer training and continue developing technical skills
  • Dependable, organized, and able to manage assigned work efficiently
  • Ability to safely lift, move, and maneuver motorcycles, powersports vehicles, parts, and equipment as needed
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen
