Job Title: Marketing Specialist & Content Creator 

Location: Marengo, OH (On-site / Greenhouse Grounds)

About the Role


Groovy Plants Ranch is looking for a creative, versatile, and high-energy Marketing Specialist & Content Creator to join in our day-to-day digital marketing and brand storytelling. This isn't a desk-bound corporate job—you will be right in the middle of the action across our greenhouses, production areas, and retail spaces.


We need a jack-of-all-trades marketer who lives and breathes modern short-form video (TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts), understands community-driven social growth, and can shift seamlessly between scripting viral plant videos, launching email campaigns, and capturing the energy of The Ranch in real time as the seasons change.

We’re not looking for someone to post generic updates—we want a creative powerhouse ready to blow the roof off our digital presence through storytelling, authenticity, and plant education.

Your mission is to take the authentic, vibrant personality of Groovy Plants Ranch and ignite it across the internet. You should be obsessed with cultural trends, rapid video production, hook-driven storytelling, and finding bold ways to turn casual scrollers into passionate, loyal fans. We want you to capture lightning in a bottle with short-form content.


Key Responsibilities


  • Short-Form Video Production: Brainstorm, shoot, edit, and publish high-engagement, trend-savvy video content daily across Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook.
  • Social Media Growth & Community: Manage daily content schedules, write compelling captions, track trending audio/formats, and actively interact with our plant-loving community.
  • Email & App Marketing: Write, design, and deploy high-converting newsletters, product drop alerts, and push notifications for the Groovy Plants Ranch app.
  • Visual Asset Creation: Capture product photography, greenhouse action shots, and create clean, on-brand graphics for social channels and digital platforms.
  • E-Commerce & Digital Drops: Highlight new plant introductions, rare varieties, proprietary collections, and merchandise across digital channels to drive web and in-store traffic.
  • Brand Strategy & Performance: Track reach, engagement, and video metrics to iterate quickly on what sparks virality and conversion.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven Video Skills: A strong portfolio of mobile-first short-form video demonstrating sharp editing, pacing, and hook-writing (CapCut, Premiere Pro/Rush, or native platform editors).
  • Graphic Design & Copywriting: Solid visual eye (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) paired with a distinct, punchy writing voice that avoids corporate clichés.
  • Multi-Platform Fluidity: Comfort moving between social platforms, email marketing tools, and e-commerce dashboards.
  • Scrappy Self-Starter: Ability to grab a camera, hunt down a story on the grounds, and produce finished content without waiting for a script to be handed to you.
  • Green Passion: A genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for plants, unique horticultural oddities, and creative destination retail.
