CVOR Certified Surgical Technologist Travel Assignment in Columbus, Ohio

Join a high-acuity cardiovascular surgery team in Columbus, OH, where advanced cardiac care meets the energy of a major university medical community. This 13-week travel CVOR Surgical Technologist assignment is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to support complex, life-saving procedures while expanding clinical expertise in a collaborative hospital setting.

  • Location: Columbus, Ohio 43210
  • Employment Type: Travel Healthcare Job
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,860 - $1,990
  • Shift Duration: 12-hour nights
  • Schedule: Thursday through Saturday nights, with weekend rotation and flexibility as needed

Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of Certified Surgical Technologist experience
  • At least 2 years of cardiac and vascular surgical experience
  • 1 year of CVOR experience in a cardiovascular operating room
  • 1 year of experience in a Level I Trauma facility
  • Scrub experience required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Experience with cardiovascular and thoracic instrument reprocessing
  • Strong knowledge of general OR, thoracic, and vascular procedures
  • Ability to work flexible hours and participate in weekend rotation
  • Experience using Epic preferred
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field for complex CVOR procedures
  • Scrub for cardiovascular, thoracic, and vascular surgeries
  • Support procedures including CABG, EVAR, TEVAR, valve replacement, and related cardiac cases
  • Assist with crash cart readiness, aseptic technique, and equipment documentation
  • Work collaboratively with the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient patient care
  • Manage instrumentation and reprocessing practices for cardiovascular and thoracic cases
  • Adapt to a dynamic travel assignment schedule with potential coverage across multiple operating room time frames
