Description:


Midwestern Career College has an immediate opening for the Diagnostic Medical Imaging Radiography Adjunct Instructor Position. This position requires in-person classroom and lab instruction and cannot be performed in a remote environment.


The Adjunct Instructor will be responsible for teaching the classes that prepare students for the ARRT certification and must be able to work effectively with students from various socioeconomic and educational backgrounds. Additionally, the instructor should understand the current circumstances and goals of the students.


Requirements:


Essential Job Duties


โ€ขDeliver course materials for X-Ray and radiologic technology programs, adhering to the established curriculum.

โ€ขEngage students through lectures, demonstrations, hands-on instruction, and assessments.

โ€ขConduct practical lab sessions to ensure students gain real-world experience with X-Ray equipment and techniques.

โ€ขEvaluate student performance, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records of grades and attendance.

โ€ขCollaborate with department faculty to ensure cohesive and comprehensive delivery of the program.

โ€ขStay current with advancements in radiologic technology, regulatory changes, and teaching methodologies.

โ€ขDemonstrated time management and detail-oriented skills.

โ€ขComputer-based skills (i.e., software, analytical, and report writing skills)

โ€ขAbility to work effectively under pressure and to meet frequently occurring deadlines.

โ€ขAbility to develop a professional rapport with diverse college constituents.


Education & Experience


ยท AAS in Radiography.

ยท Master's Degree (Required).

ยท1 year teaching (Required).

ยท Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging (RT MR) license.

ยท Current license from Illinois Emergency Management agency. (IEMA).

ยท 5 years of clinical or teaching experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technology.
