Job description

Overview

The Commercial Masonry Operator is responsible for safely operating equipment and supporting masonry crews on commercial construction projects. This role works closely with foremen, masons, and laborers to help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

What You'll Do

  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, mixers, saws, and other masonry-related tools safely and efficiently.
  • Load, unload, stage, and transport masonry materials throughout the jobsite.
  • Assist with the installation of brick, block, stone, and other masonry materials.
  • Read and interpret project plans, layout lines, and grade markings as needed.
  • Perform routine equipment inspections and basic maintenance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow company safety policies, OSHA standards, and jobsite procedures.
  • Collaborate with foremen, masons, and other trades to support project productivity.
  • Report equipment concerns, safety hazards, and quality issues promptly.

What We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1-2 years of commercial masonry or construction experience.
  • Experience operating construction equipment including all-terrain forklifts.
  • Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices and equipment operation.
  • Knowledge of masonry materials, tools, and construction methods preferred.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • Ability to meet physical job requirements, including: Lifting up to 75 pounds, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing for extended periods, working at heights and outdoors in varying weather conditions
