Job description

United Engineered Products, LLC. is seeking an Experienced Manual Machinist to join our team in Plain City Ohio for repairing rollers.  

We make and refurbish Industrial Brushes and Furnace Rolls for heavy industry.

Candidate must be an experienced manual machinist.  Familiarity with roller repairs preferred 

Majority of the work is manual machining and welding to repair journals on rolls & shafts.

This Key Position works with our engineers and management to satisfy customer requirements.

We currently run one day shift and have flexibility with scheduling, duties and workload. Willing to consider part time.

Responsibilities:

  • Sets up and operates manual lathe, milling machine & other standard machine shop equipment.
  • Able to determine how to perform repairs that restore roll to print
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerance using precision measuring instruments
  • Works with management on determining scope of repairs & special projects

​Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a machinist or toolmaker 
  • Set-up manual machines
  • Read & understand blueprints prints
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Welding Knowledge
  • Welding experience a plus, but not required
