Description:

Excavation: Track Hoe

  • Excavation and Trenching: Safely dig trenches with boxes, foundations, or holes, excavate areas, and create openings for the installation and maintenance of utilities.
  • Load, and move materials, such as soil, rocks, and construction debris.
  • Trench Shoring: install and remove trench shoring systems to maintain the integrity of excavated areas.
  • Grade and Leveling: Use the excavator to grade and level surfaces as required by plans.
  • Control the speed and direction of the excavator, as well as the attachment (e.g., bucket or grapple) to perform various tasks.

Earthmoving: GPS Dozer

  • Grade and Leveling: Use the Dozer to grade and level surfaces as required for construction or landscaping projects.
  • Perform precision digging, and grading tasks according to project specifications.

Safety and Maintenance:

  • Comply with all safety guidelines.
  • Assist in the preparation of work sites by clearing, marking boundaries, and ensuring proper safety signage.
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections to check for any equipment malfunctions or safety issues.
  • Report and address any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
  • Keep the equipment clean and well-maintained to ensure its longevity and efficient operation.

Communication:

  • Maintain effective communication with other team members, supervisors, and construction managers to coordinate tasks and ensure project goals are met

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other members of the crew to coordinate and execute tasks effectively.

Qualifications

  • Ability to communicate effectively.
  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment.
  • Possess a high regard for safety in the workplace.
  • Strong understanding of excavation, grading and earthmoving techniques.
  • Knowledge of construction drawings, municipality requirements, layout staking, grades, and benchmarks. Experience with Trimble GPS
  • OSHA 10 and or 30 and knowledge of safe working procedures in sitework and trenching applications
  • Ability to maintain a high level of awareness and perform tasks in a safe manner at all times
  • Ability to retain and apply information and instructions provided by management
