Job description

Overview
Position: Registered Nurse – PACU in Lancaster, Ohio. Travel assignment begins 08/24/2026 for 8 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,989–$2,107 per week. Guaranteed hours: 24 hours per week. Shift: 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (3 x 8-hour shifts). Setting: Short-term acute care environment. This assignment is a Travel - Temporary Arrangement through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.
Key Highlights
- Weekly pay: $1,989–$2,107 per week
- Guaranteed hours: 24 per week
- Contract duration: 8 weeks
- Shift: 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. (3x8)
- On-call requirements: Weekend call one day every 4.5 weeks; night call 4–5 per 6 weeks
- Setting: Short-term acute care PACU environment
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate post-anesthesia nursing care using the nursing process for each patient.
- Monitor patient status in PACU, including vitals, airway, pain, and perfusion; administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
- Provide education to patients and families from admission through discharge, ensuring understanding of care plans.
- Document nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses in a timely, accurate, and legible manner; promptly communicate pertinent changes to the physician.
- Ensure appropriate equipment and supplies are available; report malfunctions and prioritize safety in the perioperative setting.
- Coordinate with anesthesia and surgical teams; supervise and direct the work of Nursing Assistants as appropriate; participate in on-call coverage per schedule.
Requirements
- Licensure: Current, active Ohio registered nurse license
- Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Diploma in Nursing, ADN, or BSN)
- Certification: CPR certification (required)
- Experience: Previous RN experience preferred
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication abilities; critical thinking; ability to manage multiple priorities; able to work in a PACU environment
