Job description

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILTIES: APPLICATION DEVELOPER

  • Perform system analysis and design for new applications as well as enhancements to existing systems.
  • Build and maintain core services supporting authentication, data privacy, AI infrastructure, and internal tooling
  • Own projects from technical design through implementation, deployment, and ongoing support
  • Develop scalable backend services using Node.js, TypeScript, and relational databases
  • Containerize with Docker, orchestrate with Kubernetes/GKE, and automate with CI/CD (GitHub Actions/Cloud Build).
  • Build user?facing apps (React/Next.js) and backends (Python/FastAPI, Node/Express), including authentication/authorization and rate limiting.
  • Partner with Product, Data, and Operations teams to deliver reliable, scalable systems
  • Improve system reliability, observability, and performance across critical workflows
  • Design and enhance APIs, shared libraries, and platform tooling used across engineering
  • Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical documentation
  • Adhere to all safety and environmental policies and regulations while performing duties.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.


PERIODIC JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to travel if/as needed (less than 10% annually)
  • Work during periodic shutdown day(s) if/as necessary


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS):

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent IT experience
  • 5+ years of professional full stack software engineering experience.
  • Strong experience with JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Postgres.
  • Experience building scalable, production-grade web applications and backend services.
  • Experience in JSON, RESTful APIs, and SOAP web services, including both development and integration
  • Experience in deploying and maintaining applications in AWS.
  • Comfortable owning projects end-to-end with minimal direction
  • Strong understanding of observability, reliability, and production debugging
  • Experience collaborating across cross-functional engineering teams
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar
  • Experience in logistics, WMS, and/or manufacturing environment is added advantage.
