Job description

As an Irrigation Technician, you will play a key role in diagnosing, repairing, and installing irrigation systems for both residential and commercial clients from rooftop gardens to high end residential landscapes. Responsibilities
  • Perform spring start-ups and winterizations of irrigation systems
  • Program irrigation controllers both on-site and remotely
  • Design and install irrigation systems, including plumbing and electrical connections
  • Inspect, audit, and adjust systems to maximize efficiency and conserve water
  • Troubleshoot, renovate, and repair irrigation systems
  • Meet with clients on job sites to discuss project needs and progress
  • Manage jobs to budget by reviewing job hours, reports, and costs, and taking appropriate action
  • Maintain assigned vehicle and equipment in good working order
  • Organize and stock service vehicle with necessary parts and tools
  • Accurately complete paperwork and documentation for work performed
  • Follow safety protocols and wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Interact with homeowners, general contractors, clients, and the public in a professional and courteous manner
Qualifications
  • Minimum one year of experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial or residential irrigation systems
  • Understanding of basic pipe sizing and irrigation design
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Proficiency with smartphones and work-related apps for documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and awareness of safety hazards
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to perform physical work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and walk long distances
  • Ability to crouch, kneel, and work at ground level for extended periods
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Experience operating vibratory plows, skid-steers, loaders, and mini-excavators
  • Experience installing and repairing landscape lighting systems
  • Previous experience in a customer service role
