Job description

Your Role
The Real Estate intern will support Victoria's Secret stores in all aspects of Global real estate partner management, North America commercial leasing and store construction. This Intern will assist the real estate deal process, both domestic and international, from opportunity identification through project completion by assisting in preparing and tracking information, data and materials. Gain exposure across multiple departments and business levels. Critical thinking, collaboration, team partnership and prioritization skills are crucial to the success of this role.
Your Impact
  • Support deal preparation by gathering and processing all information necessary to prepare accurate, detailed and complete deal packages. Often adheres to tight time frames for review by department leadership.
  • Support and track necessary discussions around space feasibility, sales estimating and construction costing.
  • Learn real estate terminology and deal success indicators to ensure understanding of real estate transactions and execution.
  • Learn financial models for real estate deals based upon deal variables, manipulating various data elements as needed to identify potential alternatives in deal structure, sales and/or cost.
  • Validate new market information - researching metro, shopping centers, new competitors relevant to the geographical area.
  • Validate shopping center information by researching center competitors and ongoing competitor analytics/benchmarking for special projects and future deals.
  • Assist in proactive management of geographic regions of North America, utilizing critical thinking skills to help prioritize and manage deals.
  • Work with International RE Manager and/or International VP to support a Franchise partner in a global region.
  • Work with store construction group on the process to determine construction feasibility, costing, and executing a retail store construction project.
  • Participate in special projects related to deal comparison analysis, market tour preparation, mapping, fleet reviews, industry conferences, etc.

Your Experience
  • Undergraduate studying business, finance or real estate.
  • Detail oriented with strong prioritization, multi-tasking, analytical and technical skills.
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated and curious in situations of ambiguity.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently or within a team with good collaboration capabilities.
