Job description

Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Central Ohio, we’re a privately‑owned, independent healthcare navigation organization. We believe that no one should have to navigate the cost and complexity of healthcare alone, and we’re on a mission to make healthcare simpler and more effective for our millions of members. Our big‑hearted, tech‑savvy team fights to ensure that our members get the care they need, when they need it, at the most affordable cost – that’s why we call ourselves Healthcare Warriors®.

We’re committed to building diverse and inclusive teams – more than 2,000 of us and counting – so if you’re excited about this position, we encourage you to apply – even if your experience doesn’t match every requirement.

About the role

The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, securing, and supporting enterprise network infrastructure with a strong focus on Arista switching, spine‑leaf architecture, Arista CloudVision, Palo Alto firewalls, and Palo Alto Strata Cloud Manager.

This role serves as a senior technical resource for network operations, project delivery, security policy implementation, troubleshooting, and network architecture improvements. The Senior Network Engineer is expected to lead complex technical initiatives, mentor junior engineers, create standards, and provide escalation support during major incidents and changes.

  • Assist with network segmentation, firewall migrations, data center migrations, circuit turn‑ups, and cloud connectivity projects.
  • Provide advanced escalation support for network incidents, outages, performance issues, and security events.
  • Develop and maintain network standards, diagrams, implementation plans, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Lead change management efforts, including risk analysis, implementation steps, validation plans, and backout procedures.
  • Partner with security, systems, cloud, application, service desk, and vendor teams to resolve issues and deliver projects.
