Job Description Summary:
Designs, develops, and implements radiology information systems, including electronic imaging applications to meet organizational needs. Acts as the principle resource with clinical knowledge and technical expertise to coordinate and provide support for all new and existing systems, applicable hardware, and software upgrades. Specializes in the following systems: PACS, dicom router, radiologist voice recognition, image sharing platforms, dose monitoring, and advanced visualization.
Job Description:
Essential Functions:
- Designs and implements radiology information systems by analyzing user requirements and collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop system enhancements to meet clinical needs.
- Provides system analysis, technical support, issue resolution, training and documentation expertise for radiology information systems.
- Maintains and regularly updates systems. Monitors, tests and troubleshoots systems to ensure functionality, security alignment and performance, scheduling downtime to provide minimal disruption of service to users.
- Creates and maintains coded solutions for system enhancements, as well as data queries, reports and test scripts to support system functionality. Develops, maintains and tests disaster recovery plans, backup and restore procedures.
- Maintains system security by implementing and enforcing policies and procedures which follow IS Information Assurance standards. Complies with NCH policies, processes and standards regarding information assurance, system security, disaster recovery and business continuity.
Education Requirement:
- Associate's Degree, or equivalent experience, required.
- Bachelor's Degree, preferred.

- Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.

- Working knowledge of IS principles and techniques.
- Working knowledge of database applications, platforms, and programming languages.

Experience:
- Two years of experience in applications of a Radiology Information/Electronic Imaging system, preferred.
- Experience within radiology clinical areas, preferred.
- PC and Macintosh experience, preferred.
