Responsibilities:

• Operate Hydro/Jet vac equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre-operation checks on the Hydrovac equipment.
• Maintain Hydrovac equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
• Complete paperwork associated with Hydrovac operations.
• Travel to and from job sites.
• Load and unload Hydrovac hoses.
• Maintain safe working habits and conditions at all times.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures.
• Communicate with other crew members to ensure timely job completion.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Hydrovac or Jet Vac Operator.
• Class CDL B with tanker endorsements with no restrictions
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Positive attitude and openness to new methods.
• Experience in the telecommunications or underground utilities industry is a plus.
• Working knowledge of basic hand tools and mechanical equipment.
• Ability to travel as needed for job requirements.
• Valid driver's license and insurable.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

Work Environment:

• Must perform strenuous and physically demanding tasks for long hours, outdoors, and in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift and carry materials weighing 40 to 90 pounds.
• Must maintain visual and audible contact with crew members and equipment for safe coordination.
• Must operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.
• Must stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl during work tasks.
• Must wear safety boots, safety glasses, hard hats, and applicable safety gear.
