Job description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HVAC Technician to join our team. The HVAC Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in residential and light commercial settings. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and boilers.
  • Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
  • Test and balance systems, including checking refrigerant levels, airflow, and temperature.
  • Respond to emergency service calls in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, explaining issues and recommending solutions or system upgrades.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and industry regulations, including proper handling of refrigerants.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and hours worked.
  • Manage and maintain company-provided tools and equipment.
  • Stay current with advancements in HVAC technology and best practices through continuous learning and training.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited HVAC training program or apprenticeship.
  • EPA Section 608 Certification for refrigerant handling.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • 5+ years experience as an HVAC Technician
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in various environments, including confined spaces and outdoor conditions.
