16 James Hematology Oncology - D/N or Nights - AYA OFFER (MED SURG UNIT) HEMATOLOGY ONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED. MEDSURG EXPERIENCE REQUIRED ONS CERTIFICATION PREFFERED ($) Staffing ratios - goal is 1:4, but can be 1:5 • Weekends - variable based on unit needs • No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff • Oncology experience preferred but not required • Floating to other Med/Surg and Oncology Units Patient Diagnoses • Lymphoma • Multiple Myeloma • Acute leukemias • Chronic Leukemias • Sickle Cell Disease • other non hem cancers • Other benign hematology Special Procedures/Unit Details • Chemotherapy • Blood transfusions • IV Antibiotics • Oncologic emergencies: tumor lysis syndrome, cytokine release syndrome • Insulin drips • Heparin drips • Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls Certifications Required • BLS • ACLS Skills Required • MS/Tele • Telemetry • Interpretation of dysrhythmias • Telemetry -on the unit monitoring • Use of Rapid Response Teams • Feeding tube care and management IV therapy/Phlebotomy • Blood Product Administration • Central line blood draw • Peripheral Line Care/Management • PICC line management • Starting IVs COMPUTERIZED CHARTING • EPIC Agency staff have the following parking permit options (purchased through CampusParc at osu.campusparc.com): WMC Agency Permit (Most Convenient Option) -24/7 access to Wexner Medical Center Garage (guaranteed availability) -#/month -# per 100-day permit WB Permit (Budget Option) -Weekend/holiday access to 9th Ave East & West Garages -24/7 access to West Campus surface lots (WB/WC spaces) -Shuttle service provided to the medical center -#/month CXS Permit -Weekend/holiday access to 9th Ave East & West Garages -24/7 access to Buckeye (CX) and West Campus surface lots -#/month Please note: Parking costs and options are subject to change per CampusParc policies.
