Job description

As a Lead Quality Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in driving quality excellence and continuous improvement within our Industrial Automation operations. You will lead quality initiatives, mentor team members, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure our products meet the highest standards of reliability and customer satisfaction.

You will report directly to our GM Rotational Program Director and you'll work out of our Columbus, Ohio location on an On-site work schedule.

In this role, you will impact product quality, operational efficiency, and customer trust by implementing robust quality systems and leading problem-solving efforts that enhance product performance and compliance.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Proven experience leading quality engineering teams and managing quality assurance processes in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Expertise in Lean Six Sigma tools and methodologies to drive process improvements and reduce defects.
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO 9001 and regulatory compliance requirements relevant to industrial automation.
  • Experience with quality data analysis software and tools to monitor and report on quality metrics effectively.

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality engineering roles with progressive leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes and automation technologies.
  • Experience with supplier quality management and customer quality support is a plus.
